1. How To Make Beetroot Powder

  • Wash the beetroot and peel them properly.
  • Grate them with the help of a grater.
  • Spread them in a tray.
  • Cover with a thin cloth to avoid direct exposure to sunlight and prevent the grated beetroot from dust and dirt.
  • Let it dry. To let them dry properly, change the positions of the grated slices. Don’t let the moisture stay there as it can spoil the whole grinding process. So just check before grinding. It shouldn’t bend, it should be easy to break into two pieces.
  • It took 3-4 days to completely dry.
  • Once it dries completely, use a grinder to grind them into a powder.
  • Make a fine powder of beetroot.
  • To make a fine powder, sieve the powder and again grind them to get a fine powder.

How to store beetroot powder?

Store the powder in an air-tight jar.

Keep the container in a dark place.

This dried beetroot powder can last for 7-8 months.

  • Wash the beetroot and peel them properly.
  • Grate them with the help of a grater.
  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees (Fan).
  • Make sure to line your baking pan with parchment paper.
  • Spread the grated beetroot.
  • Make sure not to overlap the beetroot.
  • Keep in the oven for around 15-18 minutes.
  • After 8-10 minutes, check the grated beets to ensure that it is heated properly.
  •  Once the grated beetroots have dried in the oven, let them cool.
  •  Now grind them in a grinder to form a fine powder.

Ingredients of beetroot soap:

  1. Beetroot powder (2 tablespoons)
  2. Licorice powder (1 tablespoon)
  3. Aloe vera gel (3 tablespoons)
  4. Sweet almond oil (1 teaspoon)
  5. Wild turmeric (½ teaspoon)
  6. Rice powder (1 tablespoon)
  7. Tea tree oil (optional, use for acne-prone skin)
  8. Soap base (400 gm) or pears soap or an oil-free soap only.
  • Licorice is one of the best natural whitening agents and also helps to remove dead skin cells. But if you find trouble in finding licorice powder you can use lemon peel powder. 
  • If you are suffering from dark spots, add lemon juice 1 tablespoon. (Not for sensitive skin)

For normal oily skin, add a few drops of vitamin e oil as it is good for the skin but it can trigger excessive oily skin.

  • Take a bowl, and add beetroot powder, licorice powder, rice powder, and turmeric powder.
  • Mix all the powders and add almond oil and aloe vera gel.
  • Mix well.
  • Grate soap base with the help of the grater.
  • In a double boiler, melt the soap base in a medium to low flame.
  • Keep stirring.
  • Once it melts, turn off the flame.
  • Add the mixture.
  • Mix properly.
  • Grease the soap mold with glycerin or any oil of a few drops only.
  • Place the soap mixture in a soap mold.
  • Homemade soap for fair skin is prepared.

How to store homemade soap for fair skin

This soap is melt and pours soap, it can easily last well for 6 weeks. If you use fresh aloe vera gel in this soap, then keep the soap in the refrigerator.

Make sure the soap does not reach extremely hot weather. In extremely hot weather, keep the soap in a refrigerator or fridge.

This soap is free of preservatives as it does not contain such ingredients that need any preservatives.

If you add fresh vegetables or fruit, then you should use preservatives.

I never add preservatives I prefer to prepare a small number of products instead of adding preservatives and storing them in a refrigerator.
